The shocking incident took place as Bruesewitz was delivering remarks at the marquee conservative event, which also featured speeches from figures like Steve Bannon and Nigel Farage. As Bruesewitz collapsed, startled guests rushed to the scene, with some yelling for help.

President-elect Trump, who called into the gala shortly after the incident, expressed confidence in Bruesewitz’s recovery. “I know Alex is going to be fine because he’s a tough son of a gun. There’s no doubt about that,” Trump said. “He’s a very special guy, and I just want to say hello to him.”
